Mixedmedia on gessoboard in black metal frame. "Strong together," 2023. 70 x 100 x 5 cm
The artist explains:
The contemporary artwork “Strong together” is a classic mixedmedia made of ash and pigments, with rust and paper on a gessoboard. It is an informal work, which means that the material used and the unclassified forms are in the foreground and determine the pictorial impact. The title of the work refers to the forms in black, white and rust – sometimes painted, sometimes on paper and then collaged – standing as if in a row, sitting powerfully in the center of the picture and somehow supporting each other together. The group looks incredibly strong and present especially against the turquoise background. The artwork can be easily hung on the wall with two screws / dowels and then rests against the wall. The painting is framed in a narrow black metal frame, which a blacksmith from near Munich made for me.
