Collage made with chinapaper on canvas in black metal frame.
50 x 70 x 2 cm, 2022
Katja Gramann, says: The work is a collage of fine chinese paper that I colored in advance with coffee, white, blue and carbon black pigments. After drying, I tore up the paper and rearranged it in many layers to create the finished picture. This creates an immense pictorial depth, which is in great tension with the contrasting black colored paper. The painting is framed with a narrow metal floating frame, which a blacksmith from the Munich area made for me.
