“Death, Rebirth, Chocolate and Candy” are the subjective elements colliding in this sentimental, Easter holiday homage. The memories of childhood, church-going and Jesus on the cross has become a compelling subject for the artist.
“Death, Rebirth, Chocolate and Candy” is painted on a repurposed crucifix display frame. The color palette is reminiscent of the plastic and pastel colors of Easter eggs, baskets, candies, the gold foil of chocolates, and the other-worldly rococo aesthetic of spring flowers in church during Easter.
