Katja Gramann, says: The work of art “Erdverbunden 8” is made of ash, coal, rock flour, earth and pigments on a wooden body that was specially made for me. The painting is a classically informal work, which means that the material used and the unclassified forms are in the foreground and determine the effect of the picture. The pigments used make it reminiscent of the archaic cave paintings that I have been inspired by over and over again. The heavy wooden body can easily be hung on the wall using two screws / dowels and then rests against the wall.
