et

et. Oil on linen and wooden frame. 2023. 33 x 23 x 3 cm

et is Latin for And and is commonly used in the symbolic ampersand form, &. The artist is inspired by history, the images and symbols from the past and in general the forms of visual communication from our ancestors. The beautifully squiggly ampersand has been a gift to graphic designers for thousands of years. This gesture painting is meant to serve as an informal portrait of the character.
