Sculptor, Ulrike Balkau and painter, Dirk Groß will exhibit together this Fall, 17 September till 28 October. These two German artists are both inventive and produce work in unique, signature aesthetics that compliment each other well. Ulrike works in heavy materials like concrete and rusted metal that give her work a rustic, industrial feel. Dirk's paintings could be thought of as studies for the textures found in Ulrike's sculptures. Both artists are excessively hands-on: Dirk is constantly reinventing the painting process; while Ulrike finds connections with objects and materials truly unique to her sense of style.
