Eileen’s work considers the landscape and uses what we know about it to reintroduce us to the idea. Her photographic constructions combine objects and/or their shadows, and the presence of natural light. Eileen’s education is rooted in poetry and painting. Both heavily inform her portfolio. Her composed, photographic installations feel like paintings and the body of work as a whole reads like a love letter to Henry David Thoreau at Walden Pond, in which she introduces him to René Magritte, among others.
